Improving teaching, strengthening educational leadership, and supporting learner wellbeing — with over twelve years across the classroom, school administration and student support.
Education is more than teaching. It is developing people, strengthening systems, and creating environments where learners and educators can thrive.
My professional journey has taken me from the classroom into educational leadership, teacher supervision and learner support. Over the past twelve years I have taught learners, supported school administration, supervised and coached teachers, contributed to curriculum implementation, facilitated professional development, and supported safeguarding and student wellbeing.
My academic journey has developed in parallel — across science, health and social service development, education, and guidance and counselling. Together, these experiences shape my interest in the relationship between leadership, teacher development, teaching and learning, and student wellbeing.

Explore creative sessionsI am an educational leader, educator and guidance and counselling professional with more than twelve years of experience across classroom teaching, school administration, instructional supervision, curriculum implementation and learner support.
My career began in teaching and has progressively developed into educational leadership. I joined Joachcare Academy in 2023 as a Year 5 Teacher, and moved into the School Supervisor role in 2024. I now supervise and support more than twenty-five teachers while continuing to work directly with learners. My responsibilities include classroom observation, instructional support, academic planning, teacher development, staff onboarding, safeguarding, extracurricular programming, learner wellbeing and parent engagement.
My academic journey began with a B.Sc. in Microbiology from the University of Abuja. An interest in human development and social services led me to a Postgraduate Diploma in Health & Social Service Development. As my professional path developed within education, I pursued a Postgraduate Diploma in Education, and later an M.Ed. in Guidance and Counselling, majoring in Education/School Counseling — deepening my understanding of learner development, behaviour, wellbeing and guidance. I am currently completing a Diploma in Mental Health Counselling (in view, November 2026), and will extend my practice into mental health counselling in the near future. This path has shaped the multidisciplinary perspective I bring to education today.
Every educational decision should consider the learner's development, wellbeing and ability to thrive.
Strong schools depend on supported, equipped and continuously developing teachers.
Educational leadership should translate into better teaching and stronger systems.
Academic success and learner wellbeing should not be treated as separate priorities.
I believe educators must remain learners themselves.

Embedded across practice
Learners face challenges that can affect academic performance, relationships, behaviour and wellbeing. With an M.Ed. in Guidance and Counselling and years of experience inside schools, I provide guidance focused on helping people understand challenges, build practical strategies, and make constructive choices.
Understanding the individual's experience before attempting to provide solutions.
Considering academic, social, behavioural and environmental factors.
Creating a respectful and supportive environment for reflection.
Helping individuals develop practical strategies and confidence.
Creative activities can give children and adolescents meaningful ways to explore ideas, communicate feelings and build confidence.
Drawing, beadwork, jewellery making, paper craft and other creative activities can be woven into supportive educational and counselling sessions — encouraging self-expression, emotional awareness, confidence, social interaction and positive behaviour.
With a background in both Guidance & Counselling and creative arts and crafts, I bring these areas together to create engaging, child-centred experiences that go beyond traditional conversation.
An alternative way to communicate thoughts and feelings, particularly when verbal expression is difficult.
Completing creative projects encourages a sense of achievement, identity and confidence.
Group activities encourage collaboration, turn-taking, problem-solving and positive peer interaction.
Age-appropriate activities help young people recognise, explore and manage emotions constructively.
Encouraging patience, concentration, decision-making, responsibility and individual strengths.
Beadwork, millinery and creative enterprise can open conversations about talents, vocations and entrepreneurship.
Creative activities are especially valuable in group settings. Through shared projects, young people learn to work with others, communicate ideas, solve problems and appreciate different perspectives. These sessions can be adapted for schools, youth groups, educational programmes and other child-focused settings.
Creative expression can open conversations that words sometimes cannot.
Working across classrooms, school leadership, teacher supervision and guidance and counselling has raised questions about how educational systems can better support teachers and learners.
How school leadership practices influence teaching quality, teacher development and school improvement.
How coaching, mentoring and continuous professional learning strengthen teacher effectiveness.
How curriculum frameworks are translated into meaningful classroom practice.
How school environments, relationships, behaviour and support systems shape learner wellbeing and engagement.
How schools can strengthen systems that protect children and create safe learning environments.
How digital tools can support teachers and improve learner-centred teaching.
My professional experience has let me observe educational challenges from multiple perspectives — as a classroom teacher, school leader, supervisor and guidance professional. I am interested in taking these observations further, through systematic research, academic collaboration and evidence-informed inquiry. On the direction of future study
